WE ARE A SEED STAGE ACCELERATOR
What is AngelPad?
AngelPad is a seed-stage accelerator program based in NYC and San Francisco. Since 2010 we have launched more than 150 companies. Every 6 months we select about 15 teams from a huge pool of applicants (usually around 2000) to work with us.
While other accelerators have decided to “scale” and take on more and more companies or launch more and more cities, we have stayed true to our original goal: Find awesome companies with founders we like to work with and spend three very intense months with them. This focus has paid off, we have risen to be the #1 Accelerator in the U.S. (based on a real study from MIT/Brown University) and Strictly VC called us the “Anti-Y Combinator“.
During the program, we work on everything from finding product market fit, defining a target market to getting first validation for the company. We are also instrumental in helping companies prepare for fundraising and of course for investor meetings.
Techcrunch
The sheer progress a startup makes in 12 weeks of AngelPad is nothing short of stunning.
StrictlyVC
AngelPad has become one of the most reliable hit machines in Silicon Valley. And it’s done it largely by operating as a kind of anti-Y Combinator, even while the famed incubator was its inspiration.
THE SEED ACCELERATOR RANKINGS PROJECT
Ranked #1 U.S. Accelerator
MIT, Brown University and the University of Richmond evaluate over 160 U.S. Accelerators every year to determine the top performing programs. The Seed Accelerator Rankings Project is the only quantitative study of Accelerators performance. AngelPad has been ranked Number 1 and in the Top Tier every year since 2015.
Yael Hochberg, Rice University & MIT Sloan
“Angelpad’s rise to the top is rooted in extremely high satisfaction of its graduates, high valuations for its portfolio companies and fundraising success”
Susan Cohen, University of Richmond
“With small cohorts and the attention AngelPad dedicates to each startup, they are in a class of their own”
AngelPad has one of the best funding records among all Accelerators.
AngelPad by the Numbers
Our companies have raised a total of $2.5 Billion since 2010.
All portfolio exits combined are over $5.6 Billion.
IN SHORT: EVERYTHING TO BE SUCCESSFUL
What we do at AngelPad
Let’s face it, building a company is hard, especially the first year when there are limited resources, no or little support, and frankly all you have is you (maybe a co-founder) and the belief that you can do great things. That’s when we come in – we are always the first investor in companies, but more importantly, we are there for you: in our offices, together with you, figuring stuff out.
1:1 Mentorship
Mentorship is at the core of AngelPad and we don’t believe in the “one-size-fits-all” advices that founders often get. At AngelPad Carine and Thomas work alongside the startup founders. We roll up our sleeves and figure stuff out – everything – together with the founders.
Funding
Starting a company costs money. We invest $120,000 in each company. Startups have also access to more than $300,000 in cloud credits from AWS, Google and Digital Ocean.
Community
Working, not just alongside us, but with the other founders of the cohort will become the foundation of your support system. Being a founder can be tough, few people understand what you go through – no matter if you struggle alone or are responsible for hundreds of people. We are there for you during and after the program and founders often form strong fellow entrepreneur ties that subside long after they exit AngelPad.
Investors
Getting funded is a key component of startups’ success and a core focus at AngelPad. We know most investors, we know what they invest in and what gets them excited. Investors know us and the quality of companies emerging from AngelPad. Being an AngelPad company opens many doors.
You'll be in good company
AngelPad startups can be found in almost any tech vertical: SaaS, Marketplaces, Core Technology, Advertising, API, Mobile, Healthcare, AI, Data, B2B, B2C – even Drones. They all have one thing in common: they tackle big problems in big markets and aim to build very big companies. Most of them are based in San Francisco and New York, but many come from all over the US and beyond to join AngelPad.

ALUMNI IN THEIR WORDS ABOUT ANGELPAD
"Your Success is our Success"
We have one simple motto “Your Success is our Success – it’s simple: Everything we do has the single goal of making our founders and startups successful. If they succeed, we succeed – if they make money, we make money. We are 100% aligned with our Founders, we even own the same class of shares than them (unlike financial investors like VCs).
Matt SoléZealDocs (AngelPad #12) Forever better having experienced AngelPad
AngelPad embraces the risk of unproven founders and builds them into winners. Carine and Thomas coach us, guide us, push us and we are forever better founders having experienced AngelPad.
Vincent JongFunnelFox (AngelPad #12) I would do it again without a doubt
Before the program I was in this fog of so many things we could do and struggling to pick the right things. At AngelPad, we’ve gotten so much clearer on what we are, what we do, and who we serve, that everything just became easier. I would do it again without a doubt.

THIS IS WHO WE ARE
We are Family - Literally
AngelPad is Thomas Korte and Carine Magescas, a husband-and-wife founder team, who met working at – what else – a Startup back in 2001 in San Francisco.
Carine founded an e-commerce Startup back in 2003, the MOMA New York was one of many clients. Before she led teams in Product Management and Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and Client Success at several pre-IPO startups in France and Silicon Valley. In 2017 Carine was nominated “Angel Investor of the Year” at TechCrunch’s 10th Annual Crunchies Awards.
Thomas joined Google’s Product Team when it was just 7 people. He was responsible for all the Google Product Launches in Europe dating back to 2002. He spent 7 years at Headquarters and was at the origin of Adwords, Google Maps and Google Shopping. Thomas is the author of two patents which are still a crucial part of Google search ranking and ads monetization products.
If you join AngelPad you will work with us, in our office, every day – but you will also meet some of the best people of Silicon Valley: Investors, Advisors, Founders – like them, you will become part of the fabric of Silicon Valley.
